Nanny state scares me. Schools help teach kids how to fail and how to deal with that failure. Being arrested instead of getting a stern talking to breeds fear, not knowledge.

Why do I always see so much blame put on the administration? they are only enacting policies that the parents ignorantly push through to make some stupid point like "My daughter goes to a school with a zero tolerance policy on Pokeman" As soon as the helicopter parents stay out of it, this kind of shit will become less of a problem.
It shouldnt be necessary to have to protect your kids against the possibility of policies like this.
