Kept exploring. Kept not getting interesting. Stopped.

Good music though. Reminded me of DK64.

Not enough of a point to the game for me to like it. Music was nice though.

I really enjoyed that, that game gave me better sense of escaping into another world then many high end games do, the 8-bit graphics worked very well and soundtrack was awesome too.

Very artistic, in an 8-bit way. Amazing what people can revert to.

I thought it was neat. It's meant to be casual and it delivers.

Reminded me of Super Castlevania IV. Without all the whips and undead.

I think the term 'charming' comes to mind. The 8-bit art was pretty nice, as was the music. Not the worst way to waste 10 mins at work!

"Casual" gaming needs to choke and go die somewhere out of my sight.
Reminded me of Jet Set Willy 2 and yet it managed to be less fun.

How about just avoiding "casual" gaming, instead of asking it to die?

The last few front page threads have ended up in pedophiliaville so eh, why not.

Plus your 'character' in this does kinda look like a dong.

I really enjoyed this for the 10 minutes I played it. I like the small diversion aspect of it.

Someone asked earlier for a screenshot of the levels, but that really doesn't do the game justice. The slow unveiling of each level captured my imagination ... At first I thought it was going to be four seasons, then I realised that wasn't just winter and I got a whole new impression of the dynamic.

At music - at times soaring, other times undertones of sinster - perfectly captures the mood. While you are exploring on the one hand, and the vistas of your long forgotten prehistory can be beautiful, it's not always pleasant what you come across.

Thats the story I got anyway, and I'm sticking with it.

P.S; could someone explain the red level to me? I was a little confused. Dinosaurs?

I programmed a game like this on my TI-83 back in highschool. Good times. Had the same crappy jumping mechanics. I liked this one, even if the ending is ridiculous.

Why was there a key for "down"? Did I miss some part of the game where you go down, as opposed to falling off an edge?

That wasn't the end of the game?
I went through 4 rooms (4 gems) and then the bottom pod thingy flew off with my character. I figured I won. Did you guys get further than that?

1) Any game I play, I explore everything I can. There wasn't a single pixel of the maps in Mercenaries I hadn't seen twice, and I went everywhere in Fable 2 except two of the friggin' demon doors. This was a nice diversion, made moreso by the total lack of anything that can kill ya.

2) WTB the music from the red zone.
