Quite possibly the longest and most boring thing I couldn't finish watching on fazed...... 

It seems like the music is off, but that could be a delay effect from crappy hookup.

I was expecting it to be cooler or like a real theremin. 

bleh. i created a drum set outta old car parts once. that was much cooler than this. and it wasn't fake. 

cept i can't play drums. and it just sounded like banging on car parts. but it was still cooler than this. and i got to play with an arc welder.

If you look at the keyboard, on the back in the upper part where there are knobs, a little light goes around in sync with the Wiimote. I don't know much about keyboards though so it could still be fake.

I dont think it is fake. You can see him overcompensate for pitch when he swings it too far and then self correct much like beginner violin students do until their muscle memory learns to intone. Thats "feels" like how the learning curve of something like that would go at first. 

He's just replacing the output from a midi controller or such with the output from the Wii receiver, nowt fake about it (see other video for more).

Not fake. Not a spectacularly accurate performance, but not fake. Interesting use of technology. 

funny stuff.

of course the whole point of the star trek theme is that it isn't done with theremin. It's thereminesque stuff done with voice. It ages a little bit better that way. 

The sound lags pretty much when he plays it with that Wiimote.
