Fresh Fish

It's hard for your octopus to get more fresh than if it's still squirming around on your plate. Yum!

oh man, that looks so good. i'd at least try it. as weird as it might feel, it couldnt taste worse than octopus at sushi places (which i, along with many other enjoy).

would also be cool to try some squid the same way. though, the epic battle that would ensue in the gastric chamber might just be a bit much.

That could also be in South Korea.

See, the trick to eating live octopus is making sure to make your first bite crush its little skull. That way it goes limp and you're much less likely to have it cling to your esophagus on the way down with it's suckers and choke you.

That may work if a octopus indeed HAD a skull.

Has anyone seen that joke video that has been circulating around for a few years now, with these 2 japanese couple dining and they are talking about how they are

playing a huge practical joke on the rest of the world by making them do extremely weird shit like eating raw fish and sitting on the ground to eat a meal?

I kinda feel that may actually be true in this case.

Hmmm whats the grossest thing you can imagine, ummmmmmmmm eating squirming octopus tentacles?

Yea sweet, lets make that a dish, call it a delicacy and see how many stupid round eyes will actually eat that.

Raw octopus is too chewy and gummy to enjoy to begin with, I can't even imagine what this must be like.

Usually the octopus sushi that you eat is not raw. It's been boiled. Hence the meat has turned white. Raw ocotpus meat is a more translucent-greyish color. Also the flavor is completely different.

Also, when it is this fresh, you don't have to worry about skulls or any other crap like that because you just eat the legs. But, yes, the suckers do stick to your tounge and mouth as you chew.

Fun Fun Fun!

I love sushi but octopus is one thing I will never eat. Octopus is very intelligent. I don't mind eating dumb animals, but the smart ones I'd rather leave alone as they might be our new overlords someday, you never know. Also why I don't eat dogs, cats, horses, or dolphins. Pigs are intelligent but I eat them because they are too tasty to resist.

I'd definately be down to go fishin for octopus or squid. I think all you'd have to do is cut the tentacles off and eat them. I'd be down to do that too. But where can I go to catch live squid.

I'd prefer a restaurant of some sort so I don't have to do the work and it'll probably be safer. I heard that there is a place you can do this in Oakland. Anyone know?

ha yeah you're right, sorry for the folks that didn't know. i figured Stile's reputation preceeded it.

Shame of it is, it is just a cool vid of a guy landing an enormous catfish or something, just surrounded by naughty links.
