$10,000 Car Wash
What does it take to make a car wash worth $10,000? For starters, wax that costs more than, well, a car.

WOW

THis is awesome, completely insane, and at the same time completely disgusting ina world where hundreds of millions of people are starving.
So, does anything Faze him?
Wow, when he says "hand-wax", he literally means it.

Actually, this guy pays me $3500 a pop to go and squeeze pidgeons over his clients' cars when they're not looking.
money doesnt buy happiniess but with one call it sure can clean the bird shit off of your million dollar enzo instantly
this sounded like it was more than 10,000 dollars for the wash...sounds like maybe 10k for the products he used, i wonder how much he charges /hour?
No it said 5,000 punds a wash I believe. He doesn't use a whole unit fo those supplies on each car.
This guy has it made...
He gets up to $10,000 for each car he washes, as a low estimate say he makes *at least* a thousand off each car wash, and he gets to put his hands all over, and probably drive or at least get behind the wheel to move some of the most kickass cars ever built.
Looks like one hell of a job to me...

Everything seemed reasonable to me until he pulled out the microscope to measure the paint thickness.
This guy is up there with the guy who just tests every new Farrari on a private race track, who started out life as a poor farmer watching someone else test Farrari's on the same track as a kid.
wax on wax off miyagi san
do the math...
5000 £/car wash for an enzo
is like spending
300/car wash for say a honda accord

obsessiveness at its worst. i feel sick and want to take a giant, splattery shit on the hood of one of those cars.

if you were paying 5k for your supercar to be washed and hand waxed, you'd prolly expect that level of attention, and like he says, its saving them a 25k respray later on down the line.
I used to detail cars for a living, this is more or less the same process we would use. but with cheaper products. Its all on the level , Especially the paint depth tools, if you fuck that up, then you burn a hole in the paint. If you do the buff properly, you can get it to look better than the way it came out of the factory, alot better. Although I think the 5000 dollar wax is a joke. I am sure that with good quality regular wax , you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, and it would protect just as well . Athough I would like to try just too see.
I would also like to point out that once the wax is on, you don't need to wash it like that agian for another six months, you just wipe it down once every day or so.
I should have charged more

Water imported from America.......Hmmm
Wow, I pay about 10 bucks for a car wash and it takes about 2 minutes.

Ohhh woodekf...The bucket is imported, not the water.
At the end it said his biggest concern is bird droppings, and a client can call him up anytime/anywhere and he'll hop in the van and go wipe it off for them. Of course for the amount of money he's making I'd do that for anybody too :)
obsessiveness at its worst.
and how is getting paid $10,000 for being obsessive the worst? There's a lot of people that I know that are obsessive that get nothing for it...
bird shit is like acid , can seriously screw up the paint. I dunno if its worth paying some guy to come out and clean it off, but it needs to come off quick. For cars like that the resale would be affected by bird shit marks.
so basicly, hats off to the mother fucker
cars are stupid.
My truck is worth less than a jar of that wax.
I wonder if he'd come clean my truck in exchange for the truck itself...

So as far as this dude is concerned your truck is totaled?

Hrm... I get (let's say it needs to be resprayed once every 3 years) 6 washes each at 5k (Each of these last 6 months) to save a 25k respray..
Yeah.. That's smart. :)
Also, that wax is refillable for life.

Well if you drive it at all and still want to have it look brand spanking new and sparkly all the time. And you dont want to have it washed and waxed like that, your gonna need to respray that shit prolly at least once every 6 months.
I haven't washed my car since July.

I thought u arnt supposed to rinse in the sun.
techincally you arent supposed to do anything to a car's paint in the sun, be it washing, waxing, whatever...
$5k for a carwash and he can't afford a canopy? And carnauba wax won't last longer than 1 month tops. The heat from the sun will melt it off quicker during summer months too b/c a big percentage of it is just silicone wax (same stuff as pledge).
THis is awesome, completely insane, and at the same time completely disgusting ina world where hundreds of millions of people are starving.
considering you could say this about the internet, tv, films, games consoles, the monarchy, people using money to light their cigarettes, etc. I find this comment rather redundant.
I have a new car so it's already shiny. I believe it cost a bit more than one of these uberwashes.
Lot of bitter poor people in here.
I just wish I had his job. And no, I don't think I would ever get bored washing, handling, and driving(even just in and out of the bay) cars like that.

the respray is 25 thousand pounds, which is substantialy more than 25 thousand dollars.
and lets face it. noone needs a car that costs $500,000 to begin with.
This has gone beyond the realm of smart, and into the realm of stupid rich.
Things dont work the same way on this side of the fence...
I get depressed every time I wash and wax my car by hand... I find a new scratch or paint imperfection and it keeps pushing me further toward a new paintjob. I dont want to pay for a new one but it bugs me enough that I will probably do it soon.

Got a bunch of old hard drives laying around? I guess you should strip the platters out of them, put them into an open drive, spin them up to speed and then attack your filing cabinet.

A classic video of some public monkey love in a tree gets new life when combined with a little voice over. Careful, there's some strong monkey language in this one.

The classic physics experiment involving sound, a tube of propane and fire. Created for Flash Forward 2006, but useful in any case where you are not allowed to have fire. I push through the tube 449 Hz then higher frequencies, then some jazz and then some rock. This is real life sound visualization.

Apparently, this is a common Gypsie mugging tactic. Two guys chat, pretending to look busy, and then surprise someone with a confrontation. Usually, you end up beaten and mugged. Or, in some cases, you end exposing your assailant's ass crack.

There's no way something this great actually happens, so I'm going to have to say it's staged. Regardless, it sure does make me miss California.
