Name: Nad Maximus Occupation: Linux Geek, firewalls, bandwidth control, p2p control, net monitoring/sniffing, email protection (spam/av), DNS, DHCP, wireless, etc, at a university The handle 'Nad Maximus' dates from my old days playing SIRDOOM on an atlanta BBS. I live in happy sin with a Belgian chick, we have 3 dogs, 2 cats, and about 5 computers. I have a home theater setup with a 7-foot wide screen/DLP projector, on which we enjoy many movies, XBOX, PS2, etc. We have hundreds of books as well. We have been remodelling our house for about 6 months now, and this is driving me slowly insane, to the point where even I notice. I play EQ2 on the Crushbone server, though I have little time to do so. I used to have a Subaru WRX which I drove most irresponsibly in terms of legality, tire and fuel consumption, and common sense. The girlfriend and the house combined to make the WRX a $500/mo albatross around my neck, so I sold it back in September. I drive my Jeep Wrangler now. Sniff. I also enjoy programming, and currently am exploring Python and Ruby. |
