every now and again I'll be walking along with a cigarette and someone'll pull that annoyed coughing bit. I used to be all, "bitch, I will slap you so hard you clothes will go out of style."

now I just join in. stop walking, start coughing real hard, spitting stuff out, maybe cry a little while I gasp for air...

because lady, fuck your lungs.

I'm not a smoker - can't seem to take it up, despite numerous attempts.... but I feel no anger toward those that do partake, even tho I'd rather kiss a non-smoker vs a smoker... but then again, I haven't kissed anyone in over 3 years...

I used to smoke Camel Lights, but they started tasting funny so now it's Marlboro Lights (100s in the box so I don't make'em into elephant'rettes.)
I would like to quit though.

Almost quit once by switching to smoking a pipe which for some odd reason doesn't bring on the full ire of the smoke nazis. Thing is that it was ruining my teeth and gums.

In order to quit smoking though I will need to:

1) quit drinking
2) quit souping

That's a pretty tall order and is going to take some effort.

I love smokers. I am an ex smoker. When ever I walk past a smoker I begin to salivate. I lean in a lil closer and inhale deeply. I love the smell. I havent smoked in over 3 years.

Oh and I have smoked every kind for a bit even camel filterless for a while in highschool but I smoked Marlboro Methol Lights for the longest time and then the tiniest ones (72s?) when they were out.

I quit smoking 4 years ago, and I've never felt better.
However, I have no qualms about hanging out with smokers.
In fact, I still love the smell of a freshly-lit Marlboro Light.
People that cough and sneer at smokers are douches.

That said, I just can't kiss a smoker. Just can't.
I've tried it a couple of times, and it just.. *sigh* It just doesn't work for me.
I am amazed that my ex-girlfriend put up with me for the 3 years we dated.

Canada seems to sell everything in bags. 

Ive been smoking since I was twelve, and Ive never had a problem because of it. I hang out with other smokers a lot. That helps. Started on Marlboro reds, then Marlboro Lights most of the time since, just switching occasionally to try different flavors. Recently, my tastes in everything- food, drink, work, music, everything- have gotten lighter, and now I smoke Marlboro Ultra Lights. I like em. Only smoke a pack every 2-3 days, unless Im really bored.

I might quit if I have a kid. Until then, whats the point? The disapproval of douchebags makes it sweeter with every drag. 

Been smoking for almost 13 years now. It's transcended addiction and gone into hobby--so many lighters, and my list of brands and types I've had is nearing 300.

These days, I stick mostly to Marlboro Ultra Lights. I'm planning on quitting again. Gum seemed to work the best for me.

I also have one pipe left, a Peterson Churchwarden Dublin. Usually smoke it with Cornell & Diehl's Blockade Runner. Haven't smoked it in about four years, though.

i was smoking el cheapos and was going to quit because even those were 7 bucks a pack in maine.

now in tenn i get a carton for 33 bucks....of marlboro light 100s. yea im not quitting any time soon.

I miss smoking a lot, and although I quit, I'm still all about smokers' rights, and I find myself defending smokers often.
You all don't know it, but when you're at a bar and leave to go smoke, there's always that one asshole who's got that snide comment about it after you've left. 

We know it, theres usually a conversation about that person outside 

I remember once I lectured my sister after she lit one up.

Does anyone collect ash trays? I've always had a fetish about them.
I developed a pretty kickass collection of them while I smoked, and still look out for them. 

I have an ashtray that resembles a chimp stretching his mouth wide and sticking out his tongue, which is rolled to hold a cig

and then various ashtrays from various employers- Rosetta Stone, Dairy Queen, Outback Steakhouse, Enterprise.

I wouldnt call it a collection though 

every time i've seen the quit smoking thread i've though about starting a smokers thread or tobacco connoisseurs or whatever

I bet those Peter Jackson cigarettes last an unnecessarily long time and you think they are over a few times but they aren't you just keep on smoking. 

I also am a smoker. I have been a smoker since I was 15 and am 35 now. I quit for 2 1/2 years but fell right back into smoking with no problem. I like having a smoke so I doubt I will quit unless work makes me. 

Camel Lights in a box. 2 packs a day. I try for 1 1/2, but that never happens.
Since I was 18. I waited to be legal to smoke cigs... HA!

i bet those Camel Lights occasionally go out while you're smoking so you leave it in the ashtray and go inside. But then you see some other smoker step out for a break so you go back out and relight your half smoked smoke and drop clever one liners on said smoker.
