I was born in Burnaby, but we lived all over BC while I was growing up- the Okanagan, the Kootenays, Kitimat, Lower Mainland.

Yeah, there's a couple reasons the rest of Canada strongly dislikes Toronto.

Agreed. We're Habs fans and therefore HNIC is a cruel mistress. OTOH, when you're actually in TO, they are really quite nice people. I've travelled a fair amount and TO folks always seem more ready than other city people to help out if someone looks lost etc.
