I think so.

Basically you're awarded cash for levelling up and completing tasks (like reviving a team mate etc).
You can then spend those on perks (can't remember what they're called on UC) such as quicker reloads etc.
Only 2 were available for me, so I guess you can buy the better perks at higher levels.
You can't chose weapon load outs or anything like that though, just perks, taunt and character model. 

The perk equivalents were called 'boosters' in the MP beta. 

Love King of the Hill matches. 

I wish there was a character builder in UC2.

It wouldn't make any less sense than having three Nathan Drakes running around.

You guys havent lived until you've fought a high level team in plunder or king of the hill, all of whom are skinned as Chloe.

Plunder just irritated me because no one was acting as a team.
I don't have a head set so that is a down fall.
Deathmatch was pretty decent.

I plan to beat the campaign tonight and play some more multi.

It's gimped as far as PC games go. 10 bucks more than the norm, no dedicated servers, no mods, no lan support (which in fact, the console versions have) and having to be online to play it at all.

It was handled really, really poorly.

when it works well it's fuckin' stellar.

elimination is the same way.

chain reaction is lame and seems to always last around 1 minute before someone wins.

deathmatch is good.

Demon's Souls is extremely hardcore by today's standards but its great.

Dragon Age Origins is Bioware's new RPG, supposedly amazing but I haven't had a chance to check it out.

Oblivion if you haven't played it... You can also get ff7 on the PSN store although I know you've beaten it a billion times already.

Folklore was a pretty cool action rpg...

All games worth mentioning off hte top of my head:

I see where you're coming from, and although I've not picked it up much since completing it, they've done some pretty cool stuff for the new game+ unlocks and DLC. Isn't there an unlocked mode where you don't get to use Edelweiss at all?

I will definitely replay this game at some point down the line though, loved the art direction. And unlike yourself, yobo, Stile may possibly elect to appreciate the superior Japanese voice acting. :P

You have no idea what that box you just bought is capable of until you've slipped UC2 into its slot. It's not so much a shooter as it is an awesome summer blockbuster that you get to run around in :) 

But stile, I STRONGLY urge you to play through and beat the first Uncharted before you get Uncharted 2. 

Uncharted 1 was amazing. I waited until i could play it in full HD and loved it. 

Play uncharted 1 first, so that when you play the second one, you get the full effect. Not to mention, after you beat 2, if you haven't beat 1, you're gonna wanna go back to it and you'll be frustrated with the improvements they made.

Beat UC1 before you ever touch UC2.

Yeah, play UC1 first, then UC2. The gameplay is similar, but UC1 is a good warmup and gives you more character development. And if you're a 'real gamer', start on the harder modes... I'm only a casual player and I can play through the game on 'Normal' for hours without dying. 

i played UC1 on normal. Rarely got shot down. Missed a few jumps but thats it. 

I'm playing UC2 on Normal and I'm a pretty regular gamer. I get my ass shot up and killed plenty of times. In addition to the stupid jumps or ledges I fall off here and there. 

Yeah, I find that I die more by leaping off shit into the abyss than by getting shot. The main trick I've found with that game is finding the right cover. It was the same way in UC1. If you find a spot where they can't get around behind or to the side of you, you can take them out one at a time. If there's a spot where you can bottle-neck the bad guys so that they come after you through a doorway, that's best... then you can just stand by the door and kill them as they come in one at a time, instead of standing in the middle of a room where they can pound you from multiple angles.

Oh, and I totally found a glitch in UC2 last night. The part where you cross the river outside of the temple - you can get washed through the grate near the VW and get lost outside of the map there by accident. Have to kill yourself to get back in. 

Whats the name of the CRPG that just released or will be releasing soon on the PS3? It looked really good but I forgot what it was called. It looked like a traditional console RPG which I haven't played in a long time. 

I got half Drake's body caught inside the map trying to escape after finding the stone. Needless to say, those...things beat my head in pretty quickly with just my torso sticking out of the stairs. 

LOL... yeah, I imagine with the massively increased poly count in this edition comes an accordingly larger chance of BSP holes.

decided against demon souls just because it looked too diablo-y...

One thing i noticed, If you have your video setting all checked, It defaults to 720. You must manually disable 720 to display in 1080. but if the game doesn't support 1080 you must re-enable it or it defaults to 480. Kinda lame. 

Even still, most games are only 720p for framerate reasons. I've heard that MW2 is only going to be running at 600p. 

KornGod, that depends on the game, I've found. The only upscaleable game that needed to be forced into 1080 by disabling 720 is CoD4, in my experience. I expect there are others though.
Latterly I didn't even bother forcing it in CoD4, since it's only 600p native or something like that anyway.
