If you want to visit the Temple of Summoning to find out about Viktor's gizmo, the temple's remaining staff will put the barrier back up just to be sure.

Well, if I'm gonna go thru all the effort of properly levelling this thing up, I'd like to know if the group's gonna just backstab Viktor and buddy up to the nalfashnee or if they're gonna go on the offensive. 

I know Kat is not very trusting of Viktor given his withhold of knowledge but she isnt stupid enough to challange a being from another plane of existence that, while imprisoned, can control a paladin.

While she may not know the exact reasons of it all, she knows that paladins have strong wills and are not easily broken, especially by "evil" beings. 

Txchaxt shares with the party that he has figured out that as long as they dont enter the circles the being cant touch them
Is there another way to defeat this thing perhaps?

Speaking of the story: The lights have gone out as far as you can see. Here and there, casters are creating light spells and people are lighting fires, but everyone's still freaked right out, since normal light doesn't keep away what lurks in the dark.

Illuthendrix is shrieking with fear and clinging to Malthus, who seems to be resigned to what's going on.

You can feel a light shake of the ground and hear the sound of giant footfalls coming from the northwest. There's also a weird drone that seems to come from everywhere. A foul smell is wafting up from the sewers and you can see rats and other assorted vermin fleeing from the drains and into any above ground area they can find.

Looking up, even the starfield has changed; it's become a great spiral that turns ever so slowly around some point to the west.

From around a corner, a short distance away, you hear a familiar voice: it's Raven (King of Knives). "We knew you guys would make the interesting stuff happen, but this is even too 'interesting' for me..."
