Team Fortress 2 is a on-line FPS game built on the Source engine (Half-Life 2, etc.). It is great fun and the beta has been out to people that pre-ordered The Orange Box through Steam. And comes out publicly Oct. 10.

I've been playing now and again, but I've been working a lot lately.

I'm on occasionally. It runs like shit on my machine, but it's moderately fun.
To be honest, there's not a whole lot that they've changed since tfc.

I know my laptop can run it, i've just got to get a credit card to get it on steam, since i only have $30 to spare on it and can't get the Orange Box, kinda pointless anyway because a, i've beaten portal, and b, the laptop CAN'T run it, so no need to buy it.

No more EMP nades for the engy? Medics can't infect the other team (and wtf is with this invincible ubercharge bullshit?), which can often make or break a simple capture point? Spies don't have dartguns anymore?

Look, I'm all for improvements add-ons and the such with sequels but when you take things out of the game that are historically known for dramatically altering the flow of a battle, then you're doing too much. 

Oh, and that RIDICULOUS respawn timer? 

I never actually spent a ridiculous amount of time with TFC, but, i really like TF2.

I just finished Portal. It's a fun, quick little game... ending is hilarity. 

I dunno. The things dooky says are the same things I hear from people when games are redone. "I don't like it because I have to relearn it." I heard the same things with Counterstrike: Source, for example.

I played TFC for awhile and despite the nostalgia of it, I enjoy this one more.

I feel your pain. I bought Episode 2 separately the night it was released, and it's still not finished downloading. Their content servers are slammed right now.

I need to get TF2 It looks great. But it is going to be awhile, way to busy to play computer games right now. Maybe when my work weeks drops below a million hours. You know the saying " All work and no play makes jack a dull boy".

Ok, for clarification, Is this thread dedicated to pc or 360 tf2? I understand that the game is out on both, but generally singled out threads are for the pc, us 360 gamers like to stick in our thread(we're snobs). 

I want to say 360, so far 4 Fazers have added me on STEAM, only for me to find out they're playing the 360 version of the games.

I actually did pretty horrible that round. 

I might start playing in 10 days or so, depending on how bored I am.

Got in a lot of playtime tonight, exchanged a few kills with Paladinn, all in all good TF2 evening. 71% of the achievements done, and 500/1000 kills for hardcore. Woot. 

I suck at this game.
