ok so in reality, if you throw the dart at an extreme force right at the edge of the rubber block, it will blow up the left hand side. Then just pop three surrounding the ice. 

I did that.

I tried saving that but it was full of garbage characters.

Should I concentrate on getting my towers built before upgrading them?
Should I gradually upgrade them? Etc.

I'm doing ok but I feel like I can do better. 

buy first of all. get the slow land only tower and the air towers.

you want to fill the middle circle first then the platform in the centre of the screen and finally the outer edges.

try not to spend more than you need to as you get interest at the end of every round, ideally you want to be spending slightly less than the interest every time but this is only really practicle after the first few rounds.

finally when everywhere is filled then start upgrading. its better this way round as it increases the slow fire rate and also as the damage increase when upgrading is less while the cost is more.

Only build Damage & Air towers, skip the splash, fast and slow towers.

As far as beating the game, it comes down to saving money, interest (5%) is the only way to really make any kind of cash - so never spend all of what you've got, let it build up.

Dammit. level 49 of 50, and I got crushed by flyers. 

You can pick what you want your turrets to target now.. Hard targets, weak targets or close targets. I chose all weak and it seems to go pretty nicely. 

Got to level 42 before croaking. I couldn't figure out what the hard/weak/close thing did, but thanks to tubby, I think I'll do better next time. If only you didn't have to sit through that asinine Orbit commercial every time you load the forking page.

I had to try the third board three times. I was pissed that using lvl3 purple towers wasn't economically feasible, had to make do with cheap lvl1 blues.

I've come to the conclusion that the lvl2 blue towers are essential

The cash flow on it sucks... you have to really struggle to upgrade one damn thing. 

staypuff, from the looks of your screenshots, how much upgrading are you doing versus purchasing? 

I only upgrade the lvl3 Red towers

yeah, level 12 can eat a bag of hell. 268 points....actually Level 12 may have been one of the easiest (or OI just got real lucky) it onlu took me 3 tries
