comparatively? very hard
Its like doing the normal 25 mode with 10 people.
More or less.
More or less.
I know for a fact that the beasts fights are on a 15 minute enrage timer, and there's no pause between beasts once you get five minutes into the fight. So if you don't down Gormok in 5, the worms come out regardless, if you don't get the worms down in 5, Icehowl comes out anyway.
15 minutes? Maybe for the 10m but 25 is 9 maybe 10 minutes.
You also don't get the speed boost when icehowl charges and everything hits much, much harder.

I thought the question was for ToC10 Man Hard Mode?
Yeah, it is for 10. I don't know what the timer is.
Everything hits for harder, and everything has more HP, and now you're on an unforgiving timer. Hardmodes are, in general, DPS races. If you run a group with 3 healers, I hope one of them is also really good DPS because that seems to be the first thing to go.

If it's a dps race, we won't be trying that for a couple weeks. Our dps is too undergeared.
Everyone has to live. Depending on the raid dps, one death can screw the whole deal up cause you'll get behind the timers. In addition to the overall added difficulty of hits harder/more health, the technical twists tossed in:
Snobold fires add a stacking dot. You'll always get one for being a fire target, but stand in it and it'll ramp up quick. A true test of get-the-fuck-out-of-the-fire-ability. Are there more snobolds as well cause it sure seems like it?
The worms are basically the same, but you gotta deal with the toxin/bile asap cause it hurts more.
No extra speed on the Icehowl hop. If someone gets trampled, you can't remove the enrage a tranq shot. Not to mention someone just died and that's probably really bad for the rest of the dps race. Spilt your healers up so they all can't get stuck in the ice breath.
The aforementioned spawn timers. Whatever the specific time is, it is short, so dps has to be spot on. This is where the healer balance comes in. You really only need to run with two to help dps, but it takes some pretty good healers to pull that off.

FFFUUU
So A friend of mine bought me wow time, on my computer, while I was out of the room.
He emailed me the code, and didn't tell me about it. So, I check my email, the code's sitting there, and the first thing I do is go to the wow website to redeem it. The site goes straight to a "Type in your gametime card number here!" so I do, thinking it'd let me log in afterwards. Turns out, he was still logged into the wow site. =/
He basically just bought me time that got put on his own account anyway. /wrist

whoops!
Makes me wonder if Blizz can reverse that. =/
Yeah, I highly doubt that. I know that my CC gets billed instanteously when I reup my subscription.
Well, they charged him for the gamecard but i wonder if they can remove the gamecard from the account and let me put it on mine.
10man General down.
grats jen.
We got Yogg into phase 2 and then wiped. Oh well! It was our first time there. I'll bet we get him down next time. :)
And then... And then... I'll have cleared all the raids on 10man. WOOT. :)

Except for Algalon...
It's the world conspiring against me.
First off, Blizzard would NOT refund that game time. Now, I'm gonna have to call them again, to get a mobile authenticator temporarily removed, since my phone is out of time and I can't connect online to resync it.
Son of a bitch. It's like, they just don't WANT me to play wow.

how often do you need to resync it?
i was thinking of getting it too but not if i have to online all the time with my phone.

Well, i'm sure it's not very often, the thing is, i haven't had wow for over a month, and my phone's been off and tucked away in a corner somewhere since I haven't needed to log on, nor did I have time on it, since i've got a prepaid plan.
When it synched the first time, after I downloaded it, it only used about 3kb. It's never done it since.

Ok, survival, you have a good point. Except for Algalon.
Group Disenchanting
Players in a group with an enchanter will now have the option to automatically disenchant any items that are not claimed by a player from within the loot window. Players will have this option available to them in both premade groups and in randomly matched groups. This option is available in any loot system, even if players don’t use the new dungeon tool.

great.
enchanting wasn't shitty enough as an ability that you spend thousands of gold leveling, only to never earn it back in 5g tips...now the only thing we can produce of value; mats; will be available to everyone freely.
fucking dickheads.
Depends. I currently run a mage that has enchanting/mining...I send everything I mine over to my warrior who is a Blacksmith, to make blues/greens to then send back to DE. Also, they've increased the number of green drops in outlands/Northrend it seems like...so...what are you spending money on to level? Lowbie greens?
Yeah, my enchanter has never spent money on anything other than the actual recipes/patterns themselves from the trainer.
/scratch head

the cross-server lfg system and random heroics sounds pretty kickass, though.
well, you guys are pretty fucking amazing to have just come across hundreds of eternal earths to lvl from 425+
also, until you hit 445 and get abyss shatter, you're dust-starved. Fucking 4 stacks of abyss crystals and never have any damn illusion dust.

also, rods.
I did spend maybe 200-300 gold on world drop recipies...maybe...but...I'm just wicked cool like that...the AH is so broken on my server anyway...
really?
this is the rap i'm getting laid on me right now?
you guys are gonna try to make the case that enchanting isn't expensive to level?
horseshit.
Unless you literally grind your way 1-80, there's no way you could get enough drops to get the mats you'd need to level it up. You have to supplement it by either farming, buying shit, or having a second char that'll craft your skin/ore/whatever for you into shit that you can DE.
This is simple science.

it's only making enchanters job easier in instances, you wont be able to DE without an enchanter in the group.
on leveling it:
i went from 375 to 435 with only the mats that i got from 70-80 drops/rewards when i leveled with my friend. 1-375 you can pretty much level by soloing lowbie stuff.
why does everyone complain about everything?
I run a lot of instances. A lot. I always have tons of mats, and my guild is always requiring tons of enchants. Now, my enchanter isn't high enough level... But I have all my greens DEd and have tons of mats on hand and I helped my best friend level his enchanting and he never once bought any mats. Never. I pay for all my enchants with my mats and he leveled off of it. So did everyone else in the guild.
It wasn't hard at all.
It wasn't hard at all.
I think the worst one was engineering for me to level. And even then, I wouldn't say it is "hard." It just requires a little bit of farming.
i feel like i'm in the twilight zone right now.
seriously, i feel like you guys are fucking with me or something, but i can't pinpoint what the joke is.
i guess you three, specifically, have substantially better-than-average luck getting green and blue drops when soloing.

Oh, we also have a deal in our guild where all our greens get sent to our enchanters, and they DE them and send them back to us, but they skim a few mats off the top as a tip.
my R-A-F buddy mined full BS and JC leveling mats to min-max his char, i guess he's a masochist
I'd say it's probably more that we don't piss everyone off around us by being assholes and bitches, so we have help of our friends in everything.
There's no way I could have leveled up to 450 blacksmithing / 455 jewelcrafting on my main if I hadn't had help of my friends sending me saronite and gems. I never bought a single gem or a single piece of ore. I made things for them for free when they provided mats to level up. I traded extra meat I had for ore and gems. I helped them run instances (I'm a tank). In exchange whenever they had extras that they were going to AH, they'd send some my way. There was no formal tit for tat, just a group of people helping each other out.
I DE every single green and blue I get, unless it's going to get 200g+ on the AH. I DE lowbie greens and blues, I DE high greens and blues. Anything 300 and under my enchanter gets. Anything over, my friend gets and he skims a few mats off the top. I literally send him probably 10 items to DE every day that I play.
I've sold hundreds of gold of lowbie enchanter mats that I'll never use. I routinely have at least 100 dust and essences at Wrath level in my bank. *shrug*

I've got a buddy that I've been sending stuff to DE to, to help w/ my tailoring as well. Stacks of Infinite Dust are really nice, I told him to go ahead and keep anything that wasn't dust, and intentionally send him blues from time to time. My Mage is almost to 65, which is probably where I'll keep her, just to DE and enchant things for Guild Members, until there's enough gold sitting around for epic flying.
Also, I have had crazy luck when it comes to instances, the first time I had a bud run me through...uh...Scholomance( I think), the Orb of Deception AND the Blue Enchant formula dropped. However, when it comes to rolls, I fail, hard.

For three years now, I've also picked the locks of the boxes in the guild for free. People e-mail the boxes to my rogue, I log on at least once a week and pick them all, and return them unopened. Sure, they have to pay 30c to mail it to me, or they can wait and ask me when I'm on and I'll switch over and open them for them.
I dunno. We do a lot of sharing and caring in my guild. ;P

Enchanting is a bitch to level from 275-300. An absolute bitch. But nearly every other profession is, too. Why hasn't Blizz made that easier?
As for the Northrend greens, I easily hit about 410ish on my enchanter just from quest rewards/world drops around 75 and had a ton of shit saved up by 80, again just from quest rewards. I gave it all to my roommate since he was at 440 and that got him to 450 and such but I'm not sure why you are having a hard time. Just go do some quests and get green rewards in Storm Peaks/Icecrown.
I've leveled everything to at least 350ish in my years on this game and my most hated profession remains Jewelcrafting. HATE. But I did level it immediately after BC launched when shit was so expensive and hard to come by.

jewelcrafting is fucking sick bank, though.
buy gem for honor, cut it, sell it for 200g.
boom.
2 WGs/day = 600g/2 hours "work"

Sadly, I can't get any of my gems to go for 200g. I'm lucky if they go for 125g. But yeah, that is nice... Now that I've done the dailies and everything to get the patterns. :)
I'm gonna level JC again on my upcoming mage (I have too many god damned characters).
I have two alchemists, both transmute spec.
That's 2-10 epic gems a day for two rare gems and two eternals.
????
PROFIT

JC isn't cheap to level from 0-450, even at level 80. I sunk roughly 5000G to get everything leveled, I told myself "Oh, I'll just farm ore on my BS" and I did a run around Thristfal, Arathi, and Silthilis, and wanted to /wrist. I had a guy in an Ex-guild(I left on good terms, it was more of a social thing anyway, and I left to a raiding one) that just farms old-world ore, and he was able to help me out a lot by selling me Thorium ore for super cheap.
It's a MMO, you're supposed to be social and make "friends", PHP man, People Helping People.

I also absolutely refuse to buy stuff, though. It took me 3-6 months to level my jewelcrafting up to 455. I didn't go out the day of the release and stress out about leveling up my jewelcrafting in 2 weeks.
I'm sure you're not going to be able to trade in cross-server instances. This was probably a way to allow stuff to get disenchanted if your enchanter is from another server. This was almost a way for enchanters to actually get the stuff they disenchanted, but I guess not.
You are going to be able to trade any item that you'd be able to trade in a BG and any items that drop inside the instance, afaik.
Aren't you only able to trade conjured items in a BG?
Sorry, I should clarify. Enchanting mats will not be able to be traded, but the actual bop blue/purple that drops will be able to be traded just like it is now - for a short period of time.

As we mentioned in the recent post explaining the new Dungeon System, disenchanting will work a little differently in all 5 player and raid dungeons when patch 3.3 is released. We have seen a consistent pattern where players eventually need very few items from dungeons and they result to disenchanting as much of the loot as possible since those materials that can be obtained continue to have a lot of worth.
When the new Dungeon System is launched, the default user interface will give players the option to automatically disenchant items that they obtain in 5 player and raid dungeons. This option will avoid the hassle of having items picked up by an enchanter first to redistributed later and overall will make the process much smoother.
Also, with the inclusion of cross-realm-instancing in the dungeon system, there will be restrictions on trading items similar to the restrictions that are currently active in Battlegrounds. If the Dungeon System is used to complete a group for a dungeon then non-temporary items will not be able to be traded in the instance. This makes it so items like enchanting materials will not be able to be traded in the dungeon and using the new user interface option will be the only way to distribute disenchants. There will be some exceptions to this restriction though as Bind-on-Pickup items will continue to be trade-able to those present for the kill for a short duration and completely pre-formed groups that don’t use the Dungeon System to form the group will still allow trades.
To maintain the importance of the profession itself, the disenchanting UI option will only be available for groups that have a character with the necessary level of Enchanting to disenchant the items that are obtained.
We are very excited about the upcoming improvements in the new Dungeon System and don’t forget to check out the full preview here for all the details: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=20677771774&sid=1

Yes. I'm assuming like mage water / food / healthstones, etc.
Right, so I was saying that if they hadn't added this new enchanting interface, then enchanters might actually have gotten to keep their mats. People might pass on that BOP blue with no purpose that vends for 4 gold, and the disenchanters would be the only people to bother with them. Could have been a nice boon for enchanters, but now it won't be.
Correct, but you said, and I quote:
That is not accurate.
I was pointing out that you will be able to trade BOP items and conjured items.
