i woke up this morning and had the song "We Belong" by Pat Benatar stuck in my head (a song from 1984)

now i didnt know the name of the song and who it was by, but figured out who it was through the glorious internet. i have never actively listened to pat benatar and havent heard the song in years

how in gods name did i get it stuck in my head?

anyone ever have a similar experience? 

it's on some stupid commercial. a financial institution i think

ugh. on tuesday night before i went to sleep i heard 'gloria' by laura branigan. since i work in a noisy plant and we wear earplugs, there isn't an opportunity to hear anything to get that damn dreaded stuck-in-your-head song outta there.
i hummed gloria for two solid days.

I had Twisted Nerve (that whistleing tune) from kill bill stuck in my head for weeks after the movie came out and everyone had it as their ringtone.

It nearly drove me mad. Not in a joking sense either, it was seriously affecting my life, I was constantly annoyed and angry, I couldn't sleep and I threw my friends cell phone out of the car window on my way back from jersey because it was his ringtone.

I fucking hate that song.
