Ive watched the first three, dont think I'll stick around that long though. The show just reminds me of Xmen and The 4400 to much. They are mutants trying figure out their powers while everyone else trys to exploit them. Its been done many times already.
the end of the episode was kind of graphic but it was cool.
can't wait for episode 4 on the 16th! woot!

I yelled, but I loved it.
This is a great show.
I'm wondering if that kid can actually fly at all. So far all he's really done is "walk" on the air. Maybe that's the extent of his power.
They're going to play all 3 episodes on nbc on Sunday night
Nice. I'm gonna have to get caught up.
its on fridays on scifi. and its on yahoo. and nbc.com.
I like the show b/c I like comic book based things (I liked the show Mutant X).
It's fun, cool, and interesting.
But it's poorly written and the acting is ok at times.
It's no Lost, but it's the only new show this season that I've added to my TV viewing schedule.
I'm not sure if that kid can fly. He mentioned in the first episode how he just knew a family member got hurt when he was thousands of miles away. Maybe that's his power.
And what's up with the black dude in the bar that the cop couldn't read his thoughts?
Is the cheerleaders dad with the government? Syler? Some other thing? Plus, she has to leave that town b/c everyone knows she's dead.

I'm guessing that she will be the first to show the "evil" organization by way of cover up, or she will be the first to handle fallout from being exposed as a mutant freak. Which would make sense seeing as how she is the one to express her desire to be normal.
And what's up with the black dude in the bar that the cop couldn't read his thoughts?
I think someone (the cheerleader's dad) is assembling a team of super villians.
i thought Syler was the black guy in the bar. isnt Syler the serial killer?
Syler is, and we don't know just who he is. My bet is that he can absorb other's powers, and that is why he is tracking down and killing them.

And maybe eats the brains or studies the brains?
I liked how he used the force on the cop chick.
And remember at the crime scene house, someone was frozen and their brains removed. Syler has super strength, ice power, the force, ???
We know that he is telekenetic, and that paticular power can go a long way. His being shot and standing up could easily be a bullet proof vest, but is probably along the lines of cellular regeneration. The ice thing is neat - I wonder how that will be explained.
Where do you get the super strength?
Where do you get the super strength?
Where do you get the super strength?
I guess he could have done it with his mind, but at every crime scene there is a person horizontally nailed into the wall about 6 feet up.
I assumed he was super strong, but telekenesis could explain that.
i wanna know how he hung that woman on the bannister. that was fucking awesome if it was one guy killing her.
How's that cheerleader going to get out of that position?
How's that cheerleader going to get out of that position?
She needs to scoop up her organs back into her body and get the fuck out of there.
She should run away to New York.
I do like that the show is pretty graphic with all the gore.
I do like that the show is pretty graphic with all the gore.
Me too. It's classy gore though.
What.
She needs to scoop up her organs back into her body and get the fuck out of there.
I don't think they had gotten to the organ removal part of the autopsy yet, seeing as how the rib cage was still intact.
However, she either needs to become a "stolen body", or be exposed.
I don't know.
I mean it's not comical or shitty gore. It's pretty much how it would be.
Fuck, stop making me nervous.

Is she going to hit the quarterback guy with some Avenging Angel shit or what?
It looked a little like that might happen.
She needs to bail.

I'm thinking the "can absorb/borrow/copy others' powers" theory is most likely the correct one. He could be getting his flashes of visions of the future from painter/addict guy -- remember that he even drew a prescient picture of the scene where he walked in mid air.
He's the only person (besides Syler) who has exhibited multiple powers. Could be working out that he's the Yin to Syler's Yang.
I would have to say this is my new favorite too!
Could be working out that he's the Yin to Syler's Yang.
i got yer yang
Yang In Her Butt!!
However, she either needs to become a "stolen body", or be exposed.
well, we know she does something, because she is shown in the previews as a fully functioning hero babe.
have you figured out who syler is yet?
is he the step dad?
And what's up with the black dude in the bar that the cop couldn't read his thoughts?
That was pretty cool. Everything just went dead silent, like the dude could turn it off or something.
Just to clarify, I think it's "Sylar."
Anyway, I figure it's step-dad for sure, but I think he has accomplices.

I think Sylar is the black guy. it makes sense that the guy who finds out who he is, is the cop.

one accomplice is this guy for sure:
And what's up with the black dude in the bar that the cop couldn't read his thoughts?
Sylar is credited for killing all these people, but not all the same way.
That would give credence to the accomplice theory.
unless, he uses the people without them knowing it, like puppets ar some shit.
I think Sylar is the black guy. it makes sense that the guy who finds out who he is, is the cop.
maybe, what is the deal with step dad?
The last episode was way too dischordant. It's the only ep I've seen but it was just like "oh, here's another 5 minute vignette, yay" - I assume it will be more concordant as the plots intertwine close but for right now it's neat but not engrossing.
although the villain who made the chick put the gun to her own head did seem pretty badass.

I think the step dad will come out to be some William Stryker dude. this is so way playing into the xmen world.
Striker?
TED Striker?
Concentrate... concentrate... I've got to concentrate... concentrate... concentrate... Hello?... hello... hello... Echo... echo... echo... Pinch hitting for Pedro Borbon... Manny Mota... Mota... Mota...

Yeah. Or a Magneto, gathering evil mutants to join the Brotherhood.
So, as a LOST fan, I should totally start watching this?
Yeah. Or a Magneto, gathering evil mutants to join the Brotherhood.
But at the end of the 2nd episode, when the foster dad had the tape, he made it seem like he was going to do something ominous to the cheerleader.
PS: that cheerleader needs to calm down on that spray tan.

Get the fuck out of this thread, green.

are you gay?

are you?

I'm sure he just plans on using her. Or getting rid of her.
Each crime scene looked to have a different MO, but the same result. So I think it looks like it's possibly different people, each with a different ability, doing the step-dad's (or whoever's) dirty work.

Yes and no. Each had people nailed horizontally 6 feet up. Right? I can't remember.

No, he's conglomatron
No, he's conglomatron
OMG STALKER!

Even the one with the frozen person? I don't remember the 6 feet up stuff.
I'm not convinced that Sylar and stepdad are connected.
My impression was that Sylar is either that unreadable dude in the bar,
or no one we've seen yet, except for probably being the guy who tried to get the kid from the feds.
The stepdad seems to me to be part of some shady gov't or corporate operation.

It's in your profile asshole.

Yeah. The person was up on the bannister but in a wierd way. The little girl that the cop could hear was under the stairs.
I'm not convinced that Sylar and stepdad are connected.
I agree. I don't think we know who the step dad is working for / with yet.
