I've grown to hate HP printers in the last year or so. It seems like every side job the person has an HP multiple function. In addition to the driver there's an auto update utility, a monitoring utility, a program that pops up and tells you how to order ink, a registration utility...

I have one client who has a multifuntion where the fax software stops working every few months with a generic error under Vista. It's all over the hp forums as a known issue. Known since 2007 and still no fix. Yet they still sell the thing with the Vista logo sticker.

Anyone got a spare powerbrick plug they aren't using? The white little flip out plug piece of the power brick I'm referring to. Or the extension cord?

My ex's broke and she she asked me about getting another one and I told her that apple doesn't sell them by themselves at the store so before I go to ebay or mac online, I was wondering if anyone had the plug/cord they are willing to part with.

Thankyou for your time

Otherwise you can buy one from an Apple shop,
or possibly get them to give you one for free,
you'll just have to talk to the Genius Bar,
as it's a service part, not a finished good.

When I got my iPhone swapped I asked about that piece and they said they didn't carry it in store or offer it as a purchase. They said something about going online to order one off there.

And a new PB cost 80 at the store so she's trying to avoid that at all cost. (pun intended)

CH - it's kind of up to individual store managers how to do things as well, right? All i know is that I have 3 mac stores near me and all three are different. One, I would refuse to step foot in again, I had such a negative time there.

As a pay with cash always person, I hate the latest store redesign

Kind of, but Apple has policy up the waz too,
though whether or not it's implemented properly
will depend on the management.

Yeah, I guess that is what I meant, not store individuality, but personal failures of the management allowing the store to operate outside of policy.

I guess what I'm saying is that the manager of this one store in Park Meadows, Lone Tree, CO, is a real bitch.
