Twelve years ago, Portugal eliminated criminal penalties for drug users. Since then, those caught with small amounts of marijuana, cocaine or heroin go unindicted and possession is a misdemeanor on par with illegal parking. Experts are pleased with the results.

Not only did the news break today that the Walt Disney Company has acquired Lucasfilm Ltd. for $4.05 billion, but the studio press release also announces that a Star Wars: Episode VII feature film is targeted for a 2015 release! Yes, 2015 will give us The Avengers 2, Justice League of America and now a new Star Wars movie!

U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was hosting her first "Congress on Your Corner" at a Safeway supermarket in northwest Tucson when she and at least 12 people were shot. Gifford was on Sarah Palin's political hit list that was posted on SarahPAC.com, complete with "crosshairs" on the identified targets' locations, for her support of healthcare reform.
This is reportedly the YouTube channel of the alleged gunman.
